I scattered a packet of poppy seeds back in the spring, to fill in some of the spaces around the peppers and marigolds. they are gradually blooming, and are so delicate and beautiful.
we went with my mom to her favorite garden centre,
parkway garden centre, on the weekend. they have a spectacular range of plants, and these Japanese Windflowers, a variety of anemone, were on sale.
a peek at some still-tiny butternut squash, the squirrels and rabbits have eaten all my pattypans, so we're not sure how much longer this one will last.
